Performance Metrics

PhishGuard was tested to handle large records based on a high-level testing approach. So the below sections should be taken under considerations when you launch your campaigns.

Load Model

Transaction
Duration
Transactions per hour
 Campaign Launch
 300 Users / Min
 18,000 User
 Sending Campaign Emails
 22 Email / Min
 1,320 Email
 Uploading Emails through CSV
 10 Users / Sec
 36,000 User

Observations

This load test was executed with 25,000 email targets by launching a phishing campaign to all users. Numerous exceptions were noticed during this test run related to blacklist from the Firewall of the SMTP account and therefore we recommend schedule the campaign to run for days by specifying “Send Emails By” Option which will send emails evenly between the “Launch Date” and this date.

Assumptions

PhishGuard assume the following to be implemented before the attempt to launch a phishing campaign:
  1. Whitelist the email which will be used as the Sender Profile
  2. Whitelist the email used in the spam filter so it does not reach to spam/junk folder
  3. Unblock automatic picture downloads in email messages for that email
  4.  Add the Domain @domain to Safe Senders List

Risks

There will be some risks when launching a campaign with a large number of email targets so it has to be done carefully especially when using a free email client. We have found the below limits for the free email clients:

Email Client
Limit per day
Known Issues
 Gmail
 100-150 Emails
Block till the rest of the day
 Mark the sender as spam
 Hotmail
 300 Emails
Block till the rest of the day
 Yahoo
 100 Emails
Block till the rest of the day

Data Preparation

Below table to be followed when uploading users through CSV file format from the user groups section. Example of the CSV file is in the below table:
 First Name
 Last Name

 Ahmed
 Ali
