Add PhishGuard to Your Sender Policy
Framework (SPF) Record
A Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record is a list of mail servers and
domains that are authorized to send emails on your behalf. Adding PhishGuard
to your SPF record allows us to send simulated phishing emails on your behalf
and reduces the likelihood that these emails will be marked as spam or
malicious.
Add PhishGuard Using IP Address
To allow PhishGuard’s mail server to send emails on your behalf, add the
following IP address to your SPF record:
ip4:207.127.101.68
Example SPF Record (Using Google Workspace)
The following example uses Google Workspace as the mail server and
includes the PhishGuard IP address:
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com
ip4:207.127.101.68 ~all
Test Your Configuration
After updating your SPF record:
Allow time for DNS propagation.
Send yourself a test phishing
simulation email from PhishGuard that spoofs your domain.
Verify that the email:
Is not delivered to the Spam
folder.
Is not flagged as spoofed or
malicious.
Passes SPF checks in the email
headers.
If SPF is configured correctly, the message should pass authentication
and be delivered normally.
